Give your deck a brand-new feel — without rebuilding from the ground up.
Our Refloor service
is the perfect solution for homeowners who have a solid deck structure but worn or weathered decking boards. Instead of starting from scratch, we tear up the old surface and give your deck a fresh, updated look — saving you time and money while dramatically improving the space.
Here’s how it works:
1. Full Tear-Off
We start by removing all of your existing deck boards, exposing the framing underneath so we can get a clear look at the structure.
2. In-House Framing Inspection & Repair
Once the frame is exposed,
we personally inspect it
to ensure it's safe, level, and structurally sound — no need for a third-party inspector in most cases. If we find any rotted or damaged sections, we’ll replace them on the spot. These types of repairs are typically quick, affordable, and critical to the long-term strength of your deck.
In some cases, we may find that your deck is sagging due to a lack of proper structural support. When that happens, we can install
additional support posts
either in the ground or mounted to existing concrete to restore strength and stability.
3. New Decking Installation
Once we’ve confirmed a solid foundation, we install brand-new decking boards — available in
pressure-treated wood, cedar,
composite, or
premium PVC, depending on your preference.
If you’re considering
composite or PVC decking, your framing must have joists spaced no more than
16 inches on center. If your current joists are spaced at
24 inches on center, we can still install composite or PVC, but we’ll need to add additional framing to support the boards — which will increase the overall cost of the project. We’ll walk you through those options during your consultation.
4. Optional Upgrades
A refloor is the perfect time to take care of other improvements:
Railing replacements (wood, vinyl, or modern aluminum) Partial or full railing repairs
Deck additions (expanding your layout — permit required for additions)
Staircase rebuilds or additional stairs (for better access and long-term durability)
Whether you're looking for a simple refresh or want to enhance the entire layout, reflooring is a flexible, cost-effective way to bring your deck back to life without starting from scratch.
